Kuroshitsuji or Black Butler is one of my favorite anime not just because of its incredible flow of the plot but also the things you'll probably learn from it if you're open minded. The story is about a kid born from a noble family with the title of the Queen's watchdog namely the Phantomhive family. They're considered to be one of the most influential and feared family in England because of their position and also because they're the most trusted allies of the Queen. They're the ones who does illegal and underground works for the Royal family in order to protect its honor to the public.
Everything started when the Phantomhive family was brutally slaughtered in their manor leaving only one member of the family, Ciel Phantomhive. Ciel Phantomhive formed a contract to a demon with a condition of the demon shall fulfill all his wishes and never betray him nor tell lies in exchange he will eat his soul. But recent events has caught the attention of the readers because of its unexpected twist of the plot and have been talking about the 'The twins theory'.
This Twin Theory has been rapidly spreading after the first surfaced of the flashbacks in Ship Voyage Arc. Although few of the observant readers has pointed out that a lot of clues and confusion has got in their heads back at Noah's Circus Arc. There were a lot of hints that has made them conclude one certain thing and that is the Phantomhive's has a twins.
You can vividly see in the picture that there are two Phantomhives one in the cage and the other one is in the offering table covered with blood. Also, in the second picture you can see that there seemed to be two people inside the cage holding each others hand. If you're not observant enough you wouldn't be able to notice that there some hints that Yana has put in every chapter. It was quite cryptic but at the same time fascinating.
It is said that the demon named Sebastian Michaelis didn't formed the contract to the real Phantomhive but rather his twin. The 'fake ciel' used the opportunity to asked for the demon's assistance to take retaliation to people who has tortured and killed his family. This 'Twin Theory' has made a lot of people impatient because of the exciting flow of the plot.
In the latest chapters, you can really tell that the Theory really speaks the truth for Yana has confirmed that there are two Phantomhives. With over a hundred chapters out, the manga has yet to have any sign of ending soon. There are still many more mysteries behind this series. If this theory is likely to be canon, then sure enough more hints will be revealed as the story progresses.
